James MacDonald is the founding pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. It has grown to more than 6,000 worshipers since its founding in 1988. Also committed to church planting, Harvest now has daughter churches in Glen Ellyn, Crystal Lake, Vernon Hills, and Rockford, Illinois, as well as in Barrie, Ontario, north of Toronto. Two additional church plants are expected over the next two years.

Dr. MacDonald’s teaching can be heard through the daily radio broadcast, Walk in the Word, on over 600 stations around the United States and Canada. The 60-second Listen Up broadcast is heard on nearly 1,100 stations coast to coast. His published books include Seven Words to Change Your Family; Lord, Change My Attitude...Before It’s Too Late, and I Really Want to Change…So, Help me God.

Dr. MacDonald received his masters degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, and his doctorate from Phoenix Seminary. He and his wife, Kathy, have three children and reside in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
